Back in June I made eighteen year old singer/songwriter Jake Bugg one of my ‘Ones to Watch,’ and for good reason! While he may still be a teenager technically, when he opens his mouth to sing, years of experience come pouring out. Recalling early Beatles or perhaps a young Johnny Cash the sound of rock and roll’s early days, Jake Bugg is a talent LITERALLY beyond his years.
“Taste It” is the new single and title track taken from his forthcoming EP, due August 13th on Mercury Records. It’s the follow up to his debut single, “Trouble Town,” and “Lightning Bolt,” the latter of which picked up an unprecedented four Record of The Weeks from Zane Lowe, Fearne Cotton, Greg James and Huw Stephens on Radio 1. Lowe went further by making Jake his ‘Hottest Record in the World‘ twice to date and was the first to play new single “Taste It” on air. If you haven’t given Jake Bugg a listen yet, what are you waiting for?
Check out the new video for “Taste It” BELOW and catch Jake Bugg live in the UK and download the four track Taste It EP starting on August 13th.
