Can’t believe it’s almost been a year since my last post about Aussie-Swedish sister synthpop duo Say Lou Lou! Well, with the recent announcement that that these talented girls are coming back for a U.S. headlining tour, another post is definitely in order.

Earlier this Spring, Say Lou Lou got their feet wet in the American market, performing a short SOLD OUT string of dates on both the east and west coasts. I had the extreme privilege of the catching them play Mercury Lounge, a small divvy bar and concert space where anybody who’s anybody gets their start. After the warm reception they received, Say Lou Lou are ready to do it all over again, kicking things off September 7th in Philly. Hitting more cities, both in the U.S. and in Canada this time, the ladies are looking to expand upon their quickly growing North American profile, especially with debut single “Nothing But A Heartbeat” gaining momentum at radio, with numerous stations spinning the tune. Awesome to be witnessing this tremendous duo win American audiences over, one show at a time. Check below for a full list of tour dates.
In the time that’s passed since last August when I wrote about this band, a lot has happened, starting with the release of Say Lou Lou‘s debut album, Lucid Dreaming, which dropped April 6th via Columbia following it’s Scandinavian release in February. The album is an electropop masterpiece—simply glorious from begging to end. From the singles (“Julian,” “Everything We Touch,” “Games For Girls,” and “Nothing But A Heartbeat“) to (potential) FUTURE singles (“Peppermint,” “Hard For A Man,” and “Skylights“)—there’s nary a miss to be found here, which is a rare in pop music today. Snag a copy of Lucid Dreaming for yourself today. (iTunes | Amazon | Spotify)
