The saga of my spending money on promos continues. I got a little Hanukkah gelt/birthday money from my Dad so I decided to spend a tiny bit of it on a new promo from Alesha Dixon. Alesha Dixon, formerly of the group Mis-Teeq, whom I quite enjoyed when they were together. I have 3 of their albums…well…their two UK albums and then their US album (which was essentially a “best of” album). Didn’t get their Greatest hits record because that would be totally redundant.
Alesha’s follow up single to “The Boy Does Nothing,” (which I am still looking for on promo) is a mid-tempo ballad called “Breathe Slow.” It’s currently the song of the day over on PopJustice, where they’ve compared it to Jordin Sparks’ “No Air.” I see the comparison and the song is growing on me. Remixes should most definitely solidify my feelings one way or another.
