Ryn Weaver is one artist I discovered while on my unofficial blogging hiatus, after I saw Jessie Ware Tweeting at her. It was pretty much love at first listen after that point, from the QUIRKY af “OctaHate” to the entirety of her Promises EP—I am all about Ryn Weaver now. The only thing left to do? See her live, of course. After missing DOZENSof opportunities here in NYC, she’ll be back later this summer for her first ever headlining tour and I already have my ticket. CANNOT WAIT. Anyway, now that I appear to have things up and running again with the blog, I figured I should do a post about her. As luck would have it—the video for new single (and her debut album’s title track) was released today! You can check out the summery Eli Born-directed clip below.

While not nearly as fun or colorful as the delightfully weird “OctaHate” video, “The Fool” isn’t lacking in the stunning visuals department. Not only is Ryn herself a STUNNER but the setting is absolutely gorgeous. Ryn Weaver will release her debut album, The Fool on June 16th via Interscope / Mad Love. The album was produced by multi-platinum hitmaker Benny Blanco and Passion Pit frontman Michael Angelakos. Pre-order is available now (iTunes) OR snag it on 12″ 180 gram vinyl at rynweaver.com.
