Kat Graham is a bonafied triple threat, people. Look out and get excited! Her new single is called “Put Your Graffiti On Me” and it’s the first taste from her forthcoming major label debut, due out later this year. In addition to singing and dancing, Graham stars in popular CW horror/drama, The Vampire Diaries, playing a powerful witch named Bonnie. While Vampire Diaries might be her most notable role to date, Graham has also appeared in episodes of CSI, The OC, Malcom in the Middle, Grounded For Life, and films such as Hannah Montana, Honey 2 and The Roommate staring fellow actress/singer Leighton Meester.
You can’t ignore someone with passion and a strong work ethic, and Graham definitely has both. When she’s not working on her TV show, Graham is dazzling us with her musical talents, releasing a song called “Sassy” back in 2010, followed by a variety of covers including one of Paula Abdul‘s “Cold Hearted,” and “Only Happy When It Rains,” which appeared in an episode of her hit series. In February, Graham announced via her YouTube channel that she had signed a major record deal with A&M/Octone Records, a joint venture between Universal Music Group and Octone Records.
“Put Your Graffiti On Me” was produced by Aussie producing/songwriting duo Twice as Nice (50 Cent, Gucci Mane) and features a fierce hip-hop infused dance beat that just can’t be tamed. Heavy breathing, pulsating synths, cow bell and just a little bit of auto-tune make this a summer club anthem worth at least a few listens. Check out the super sexy Benny Boom-directed video for “Put Your Graffiti On Me” below (which premiered on E! Online March 26th) and witness Kat Graham shaking her booty and swinging that high pony with purpose. Download the recently released single on U.S. iTunes HERE.
