In the video for “Run,” the latest single (and title track) from Aussie DJ and producer Alison Wonderland—a group of ruffians rob an ice cream parlor armed with scowls on their faces and big sticks. After escaping with their loot (i.e. tubs of ice cream) they make their way back to their back alley base-camp, where some of their shirtless ruffian friends are engaged in some sort of a slow-motion wrestling match. Don’t worry, it all looks as nonsensical as it sounds but the Tim K-directed clip is striking, colorful and an oddly complementary visual pairing for the dark and menacing electronic track, one of the definite highlights off Alison Wonderland‘s debut album, RUN (EMI Music Australia/Astralwerks).
