Stromae is a 29-year-old singer/songwriter from Belgium. His most recent single, “Ta fête” was chosen as the official song for Belgium’s World Cup team. Check out that music video BELOW. You may remember when I profiled Stromae earlier this month, calling him “One to Watch.” The more I listen to his most recent album, the more validated I feel in assigning him that label. Check out more about Stromae in my July 11th post right HERE.
Now, I’ve been given the opportunity to give away 2 copies of Stromae’s GORGEOUS sophomore album, Racine Carrée. Released in August 2013 (Mosaert/Universal France) Racine Carrée topped BOTH of the Belgian charts (Flanders & Wallonia) not to mention going straight to the top of the Dutch, French and Swiss charts. The album peaked at #2 on the Billboard World Albums chart here in America. The album includes the singles, “Papaoutai,” “Formidable,” “Tous les mêmes” (the powerful video for which features Stromae dressed as a woman) as well as Stromae‘s World Cup anthem “Ta fête.” The album was written and produced by Stromae himself, with a little help from Shameboy, Papa Dizzy, Thomas Azier, Maître Gimsn among others.
