The bejeweled beauty is dressed to the nines in a frilly, over-the-top gold dress sprinkled with the sparkles, scarlet hair piled into an elaborate coif, her Bonnie Raitt-like blond streak swooped up in the front. Flanked only by a pianist and two backup singers, Faith delivers a stirring performance of “Just Be,” the fourth track down on Fall To Grace. Co-written by Faith, Greg Wells (Adele, Jamie Cullum, Rufus Wainwright) and Aqualung‘s Matt Hales (Leona Lewis), “Just Be” is as an impassioned lover’s plea that hears Faith passionately building her case for a life’s worth of love spent with a special someone.
“Let’s get old together. Let’s be unhappy forever, cause there’s no one else in this world that I’d rather be unhappy with. Let’s be exposed and unprotected. Let’s see one another when we’re weak. Let’s go our separate ways in the night like two moths, but know that you’re flyin’ home to me.”
Simply stunning. “Picking Up The Pieces,” Faith’s latest single (released May 20th) appears set to make a Top 10 debut this weekend on the Official Charts, coming in at a respectable #6 on the Midweeks, behind Rita Ora‘s “R.I.P.,” which slipped four spots this week to #5. The only other new entry ahead of Faith is The Wanted‘s latest offering, “Chasing The Sun,” which is currently sitting pretty at #1.
