Hot Video Alert: Kris Allen feat. Pat Monahan – The Truth

    While Adam Lambert is busy being exciting and flamboyant, Kris Allen is apparently busy being boring. What a yawn. I don’t know, maybe I was just hoping for another Justin Timberlake after Allen won his season of American Idol, but I’ve just been left wanting more. Also…didn’t “The Truth” come out as a single back in May? Why the huge delay between the single’s initial release and the video? “Live Like We’re Dying” was a decent showing for Allen but this song, written by Toby Gad and Train frontman Pat Monahan, is just such a snooze! BORING. YAWN. NEXT! I’m not saying I want Kris Allen to go all Lady Gaga on me but he has to do something different…and the charts agree! The song has yet to do any damage on the Billboard Hot 100 and the only place the song has charted is on Billboard‘s Adult Top 40 Chart, where it peaked at #16. Yes, America voted for Kris Allen but Kris Allen has yet to show me that America was right.

      Most of the singers these days are cracked headed creating non sense music like lady gaga, Rihanna, Kesha and pink to name a few. We are all saturated with these kinds of music that generations of tomorrow will not be able to appreciate classy, clean and music that sooth your soul. We love kris Allen, he is classy and not boring. You can be high in dope for all we care, but respect kris

      Geez Jamie, I'm an Adam fan too but I find Kris very interesting. I've had the opportunity to see him live and he is really surprising~in a good way. I enjoyed his concert just as much as Adam's.

    • Maybe a live performance would change my mind. I don't know. You can tell from my posts that I like a wide array of music genres (from Ray LaMontagne to Lady Gaga) so it's not like I NEED him to be like Adam Lambert…I just find his style boring. There's just something about Kris Allen that doesn't jive with me. And that's OK.

      Might I suggest you go watch this video of Kris and his band doing Come Together. If you remember Simon said this was not the type of music Kris should do. Obviously he was wrong. Kris Allen concerts are a blast! His band rocks! Also the record label picked The Truth for the next single. I dont think Kris had any say in the matter & I certainly dont think that was his 1st choice. Anyway watch

      No problem! Some Kris fans can be a little inappropriate at times. lol Most of us are really laid back tho. And like you said everyones entitled to their opinion. Thats what music is..an opinion…not a fact. 😉

      @Jamie! Bottom line, you should investigate. The new single of Kris "The Truth" is amazing. It has a wonderful lyrics, excellent melody and heartfelt. I dont see any reason why would you even say it is boring. I understand, it is not your cup of tea, and thats the reason why we have varieties of teas. Kris is ours and respect that without having to be derogatory.

I do find it offensive that some fans feel the need to make homophobic comments in response to my feelings. THAT was the idiot I was referencing. I think Kris Allen is very talented. This song is simply not my favorite. I will check him out live sometime and
