In the recently released video for Eva Simons‘ debut Interscope single “I Don’t Like You,” the fierce Dutch electropop diva exacts revenge on a skeezy ex boyfriend by trashing the hell out of his spacious loft. Of course Simons arrives for the occasion dressed for the club, her trademark mohawk styled high, complete with a troop of equally fabulous cohorts. The girls wait for the douche-bag to leave with his new fling in tow before strutting in and tearing every inch of his fabulous pad to smithereens. While Eva’s revenge-exactors are trashing every piece of furniture and home accessory, Eva is busy looking fierce and fabulous, lounging around on a strategically placed leather sofa, singing seductively into the camera. This video has every element you’d expect in a visual for a future Billboard Dance hit like “I Don’t Like You;” Flashing lights, slow-mo shots of pillow stuffing flying everywhere, broken beer bottles. One thing’s for sure, you don’t want to piss off Eva Simons!
“I Don’t Like You” is Simons debut single on Interscope Records, taken from her forthcoming debut album, due out later this year. A classically trained pianist, Simons became known for her electric brand of electrop pop, taking over the dancefloors with her massive 2010 Afrojack collaboration, “Take Over Control,” which managed to top the iTunes dance charts all over the world, selling nearly a million downloads in the States alone. Simons can next be seen when she heads out on tour with Redfoo and Cherrytree Present: LMFAO’s Sorry For Party Rocking Tour.
Download “I Don’t Like You” on iTunes and check out the kick-ass Justin Purser-directed video BELOW. Look out for hot remixes from Nicky Romero and Nick Thayer. “I Don’t Like You” was produced by German DJ/Producer Zedd and written by Simons alongside Mike Hamilton, Benny Benassi and his cousin Alle Benassi.
